Joe Biden (Democratic Party)

The goal for this 110 page plan is to push Biden and the Democratic party to commit to more specific progressive goals.

  • Criminal Justice

    - Breaking the School-to-prison pipeline and replace it with a school to opportuniity pipeline through federal guidance.
    - Demilitarizing the police by limiting the sale and transfer of military weapons to law enforcement
    - Creating a federal standard for police use of foce and a national database of misconduct
  • Climate Change

    - Setting a goal of reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions nationally for all new buildings by 2030
    - Installing 500 million solar panels in the next five years
    - Eliminiating carbon pollution from power plants by 2035 via new technology
  • Healthcare

    - Lowering the age to enroll in medicare form 65 to 60 and giving those people greater choice in their insurance
    - A public option plan through medicare offered to all americans, charged based on income or free for low-income americans
    -The medicare program will directly negotiate costs of prescription drugs
  • Immigration


    - Ending the Trump Adminstration's discriminatory travel and immigration bans
    - Extending access to Obamacare to Dreamers
    - Increasing the number of refugees allowed into the US from Trump's 18,000 to 125,000 per year
  • Education

    - Calls for public universities to be free for families earning under $125,000 per year. and community colleges to be free for all
    - Supporting legislation to end family separation
  • Economy

    - Encouraging more publicaly-owned internet networks
    - Large investments in infrastructure, including a soon-to-be-announced green infrastructure plan
    - Expanding public and private caregiving jobs in healthcare, child care, and elder care.

Donald Trump (Republican Party)

As of now, Donald Trump has not offically release a platform for his 2020 election.

What he cares about:

- He has ramped up his efforts to protect national monuments and statues
- Trump said he has made a commitment to roll back government regulations
- He also said he wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act and a replacement health are is TBD
- He wants to continue to crack down on illegal immigration
- He wants to continue to appoint conservative justices to the Supreme Court and lower courts.

The Economy

- Before the pandemic, almost 80% of American workers are living paycheck to paycheck
In 2019, Americans borrowed $88 billion to pay for helathcare and one in four people decided not to see a doctor because of cost.

Reproductive Justice


- Trump Administration institued a "gag rule" prohibiting healthcare providers who recieve Title X funding from discussing all healthcare options with patients. This could keep over 4 million people from access to affordable birth control, STI testing, and abortion.
- He has also appointed 200 life-tenured judges that many of whom have opposed abortion rights

The Pandemic

- Trump has spread an estimate of 654 lies about Covid-19 over 14 weeks, as of July 13th
- He has downplayed COVID as just a flu and failed to lead the country. As of July 24th, there are over 4.12 Million confirmed cases in the US

The Environment

- The Trump administration removed the US from the Paris Climate Agreement, a treaty with 200 countries agreeing to cut carbon emissions.
- Trump repealed Obama's Clean Power Plan, which set strict emission limits for coal and gas-fired power plants

Public Education

- Trump administration has advanced the compaign to privatize education by re-allocating funding and resources from piublic education to private education voucher schemes

Nancy Pelosi (Democratic Party)

Chiu grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He holds a B.A., M.P.P, and J.D. from Harvard University. His professional experience includes working as a criminal prosecutor and as a civil rights attorney.

David Chiu (Democratic Party) is a member of the California State Assembly, representing District 17. He assumed office on December 1, 2014. His current term ends on December 6, 2020.

Chiu (Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the California State Assembly to represent District 17. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2020. He advanced from the primary election on March 3, 2020.

Chiu previously served on the San Francisco, California Board of Supervisors, representing District 3 from 2008 to 2014. He was President of the Board from 2009 to 2014.
